The Vaughns: Pumpkins, Squash, & Babies

I know this isn't the typical fall pumpkin patch pictures, but we are trying to wait for the little lady to come so we can go with her. Don't know if she's coming, I certainly believe...she's stuck, perfectly satisfied in the confines of her small space. Tomorrow is my due date, it t'will be a miracle if she makes her arrival tm. I hardly doubt she got the memo...contractions are rare and far between!

I really am quite disappointed! I mean, I've been praying she would come a week and a half early due to my sister-in-law getting married in Texas! I, so wanted to be a part of all the fun festivities, now it looks like daddy will be taking the two munchkins all by his lonesome. I shall miss them, and I shall probably grumble and cry, and be jealous [after I birth children, I'm very weepy for some reason...:] ].

This past week, has been a very tiresome week! Maybe, just, maybe the Lord was having mercy on dear little me. Meg and Ty both have been sick with high, high fevers and such. All of which scare this momma to death. This causes momma not to get any sleep. Needless to say, the house that was clean last week, ready for baby #3 isn't so hot looking now! Megan scared us half to death, complaining of side pain...luckily it was her left side, she had x-rays done out of the whole ordeal. James was even worried, and you know daddy's they hardly ever worry. Her fever broke early this morning, and you can't tell she was sick almost all week! Ty didn't get it as bad as Meg, yes, he had a fever but never seemed to go as high as Meg's almost 104 temperature! So glad my babies are feeling better!! Love them so much, and hate to see them sick!

Laughing while your child is in the process of throwing up...doesn't sound so nice. But for real it was quite funny. I was on my way upstairs, when Megan started screaming in pain about her side hurting, and that she was going to die so on and so on...Well, I ran to her side and she was still screaming...then it all happened, she gaged. She started screaming what sounded to mama like..."Sing. SING." So, I almost broke out into a tune while rubbing her back. Daddy, yelled..."She's screaming sink, SINK." Well, she didn't make it quite that far due to mommy's pause and "almost" outburst of beautiful melodies. :] I then told daddy what I thought I heard, and what I almost did. And we both started cracking up laughing. Poor Meg...she couldn't figure out while we were both cracking up while she up-chucking. Sweet thing, I still kinda feel bad...but it was sure funny! :]

The bale of hay & pumpkin & squash were given to me by my sweet friend, Diana Moye. :] Another story, I had just asked James for a bale of hay for pictures and such, but he didn't really want a bale of hay for various reason, so I never got one. Anywho, the day that Heather spoiled me with all sorts of things and then picked up my kids and brought them over the Moyes to play...after the day was done, she arrived at my house with a "surprise" for me. She carried it over, the sweetest sight EVER, a bale of hay. I couldn't believe it! It truly made my day brighter! The Lord cares about even our tiny wants and wishes, even if it's just a bale of hay!! When I told James, he thought I had mentioned my wants and wishes to someone...but I didn't. Only the Lord, James, and I knew. Isn't that awesome... [smile]
