Dominican, Day 4
Thursday, the big thing was church! The Sidler's church is growing! Praise the Lord! They had a good crowd...and my hubby got to preach! He did a great job. It was his first time preaching with an interpreter. If you have ever heard James preach, he is a I guess you can call it...a"hyper" preacher!=) Which I like...but he had to stop after a few sentences...he did great! I love going to their church. Dominican people are so pretty, and the children are beautiful! I love the children! We brought some candy for them.... I bought Starburst for them and James bought different kinds of chocolate for them! I thought kids preferred chewy candy over chocolate...not these kids!! They devoured the chocolate!=) Great time. After church, Mrs. Nohemy, made my favorite Dominican Meal...I guess you call it "Adobe Chicken". Yummy, soooo yummy!! I had seconds! On my senior trip to the island, I lost 10 lbs., not this time!!!=)
Some of the children...
again
they are so cute!
There building...
Inside...this is just so awesome! Last time I was here it was only a tiny like one room building now it has three floors and a nice auditorium!
Looking out of the window from their church in Quito Sueno~~I think that is the spelling=)
