Shredded Beef Au Jus


I have been trying a lot of new recipes out, but haven't posted a lot of them. This Shredded Beef Au Jus is soooo yummy. The Au Jus sauce is just wonderful! I love going to a sub shop and buying a toasted "Beef Au Jus"....! I saw this in my magazine and had to try it!! It really was delicious, and oh-so-easy! Even better, it is a crock pot meal! YEAH!!=)

{if you have never heard of this before...the Au Jus sauce is for dipping your lip smacking, good sandwich in;) }


Here's the recipe:

1 boneless beef chuck roast (3lbs.)
2 c of water
2 tsp. beef bouillon granules
1-1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp seasoned salt
1/4 tsp. dried rosemary, crushed
8 hamburger buns

Cut roast in half and place in a slow cooker. Combine the water, bouillon granules and seasonings; pour over the beef.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hrs. or until meat is tender. Remove beef; cool slightly. Meanwhile, skim fat from the cooking liquid

Shred meat with two forks; return to the cooking liquid and heat through. Using a slotted spoon, place 1/2 cup on each bun. Serve with additional cooking liquid on the side.

** The longer in the crock pot the better**
