There has been a moth flying in our house for the last two days now, and Doom's Day finally came for that poor little guy. Well, this morning Megan saw it laying on the floor, and said, "Mommy, I hold it!" So, I was like okay if you want to go ahead. So, then Megan picked it up and said, "See, mommy he likes me..., I be nice!" I guess she was impressed he didn't fly away!=) I tried to explain to her that it was dead, a two-year-old does not understand this. She continued to play with the dead moth for like the next twenty minutes. She would talk to it, and say, "You okay." "I not squish you". It was actually pretty cute to watch!=) Then she put the poor moth on a toy plate, and she ran over to me and said, "Mommy, I cut it...he feel all better!" Of course, all I could really say is "Oh, really!" Ever since we went fishing and we caught a tiny fish and cut him up for bait...she is real big about saying(while making a sad face), "Poor fishy, don't cry...he's crying "...We told her the fishy didn't feel a thing. So, I guess she just got tired of the moth, that's the only thing I can think of !=) Who knows! I would love to see into my little two-year-old's mind. I could get tons of good laughs!! =) Thought I'd share this little funny! Hope you enjoyed!
